Congratulations!

You are one of the lucky few who get to hold a piece of the early solar system! The meteorite you now own is a leftover remnant from the processes that formed all of the planets and moons and is over 4 billion years old!

What you now have is what is called an "ordinary chondrite." It is a humble name with profound implications. Originally found in the desert of Morocco, this specimen has been left unchanged from the time of its creation in the early accretion disk from which the solar system formed. Think of it like a leftover Lego!
