A refined fragment of the Moon’s ancient highlands, Bechar 003 is a lunar feldspathic breccia, a highlands regolith rock dominated by calcic plagioclase, discovered near Béchar, Algeria on March 24, 2022. Interiors present elegant grey matrices with bright anorthositic clasts; exteriors weather to warm desert tones, textbook for this find. 
 
Scientifically, Bechar 003 reads convincingly lunar: plagioclase spans An₇₁–₉₈, with mafic phases including olivine (Fa23–50) and multiple pyroxenes (low-Ca and pigeonite/augite) showing FeO/MnO ratios in the ~42–114 range, chemistry consistent with feldspathic highlands material. 
 
Officially recorded at a total known weight ~2.09 kg, Bechar 003 was recovered as many small stones lacking fusion crust; fresh interiors are medium-grey with dispersed white clasts and rare tiny metal grains—fine, display-forward fabric under raking light.
