The type specimen for this meteorite is held at the pretigious Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History, a place as rich and storied as the meteorite here for sale. The specimen was cut using a dry cutting technique, thereby preserving the internal matrix from alterations seen in other specimens that have been cut using water as a coolant. The surface finish is a dry polish delicately executed by hand. In total, this specimen required fifty-three hours of precision cutting and two hours of hand finishing to render the superlative slice presented to you today!
